Grandfather Great Mystery, it is I, Ho Hopa. I come with a thankful and humble heart. Thank you for all that you have provided for us, and thank you for the great beauty we have before us each day. It is my prayer Grandfather that all of mankind learn to get along with each other. I pray that we each take time to smell one of your roses, gaze at your majestic mountains, marvel at the great deserts, or just take off our shoes and feel the mud between our toes. Grandfather, our children still wonder at these things. What has happened to us as we grow older. I pray Grandfather that we can regain that childlike awe at your great mystery. I pray that we can all take just a little time each day to say "Thank you Grandfather". Help us to remember that each man is our brother and that all things are related. Mitakuye Oyas'in |
